A Message from Lynne Delcalzo, VP Public Policy for the Morris Chapter
As a fellow member and the VP of Public Policy for the Morris Chapter, I'd like to take this opportunity to explain just one of the many valuable membership benefits. Since 1995, NJAWBO has realized a position as an advocate of legislative issues that have fostered national and local connections within the legislative arena.
The Road To Change: This is the NJAWBO public policy platform. Simply put, it is the conduit by which NJAWBO, as a business organization, travels to support, defeat or initiate legislative change.
I encourage all of you to visit the Public Policy link at the NJAWBO State website to read more about the various issues that we have adopted with our mission in mind. These initiatives have a clearly defined criteria and support private sector industry, specifically women-owned enterprises in New Jersey. There are numerous issues and it would be repetitive to mention them here, and they cover such areas as government reform, contracting & procurement for women-owned businesses, healthcare, taxation and economic development.

So come travel with us on the road to legislative change. Please continue to check the Morris website regularly, as I will use this venue to let you know of any legislative alerts or news as they occur. If you have a legislative issue or concern that might fit the criteria found on the NJAWBO State website, please feel free to email me directly at publicpolicy@morrisnjawbo.org.
