DRESS FOR SUCCESS Needs Your Help


Dress for Success is a
global organization that accepts new and gently used suits, business attire and accessories from generous individuals like you.  These items are given to women who need a little bit of help to re-enter the workplace.  This is a great opportunity to clean out your closet and help women.

 

What type of clothing and products does Dress for Success accept?

  • Interview-appropriate suits and related separates (the greatest need is for items size 14 and up)
  • Solid color blouses
  • Shoes that are suitable for the workplace. Our clients receive brown, black or navy shoes most frequently. Please—no heels higher than 3 inches and no open-toed shoes.
  • Unopened hosiery
  • Unused undergarments (Note: Not all locations accept such items; please check with the affiliate closest to you before making this type of donation.)
  • Black tote bags, attaché bags or briefcases
  • Basic professional accessories (including jewelry, scarves, belts and handbags)
  • Unopened cosmetics
  • Coats and outerwear (Note: Not all locations accept such items; please check with the affiliate closest to you before making this type of donation.)

Directions:

From Morristown:  Take South Street to Madison Avenue (124E).  Pass the Morristown Memorial Hospital on the left.  Continue on Madison Avenue (124E) for approximately 5 miles toward Madison.  After going under the train trestle turn left at the 3rd traffic light onto Central Avenue.  Make the first left (1 block) onto Cook Avenue.   The Madison Community House is the red brick building at the far end of the parking lot on the left.  Our shop is located on the right hand side of the building, down the stairs.

From 287 South: Take exit 35 (South Street).  Turn left at the light at the end of the ramp onto Madison Avenue (124 E).  Continue on Madison Avenue (124E) for approximately 5 miles toward Madison.  After going under the train trestle turn left at the 3rd traffic light onto Central Avenue.  Make first the left (1 block) onto Cook Avenue.  The Madison Community House is the red brick building at the far end of the parking lot on the left.  Our shop is located on the right hand side of the building, down the stairs.
 
From 287 North:  Take exit 35 (Madison Ave).  Turn left at the light at the end of the ramp. Make first right (follow signs for 124 East/Madison Avenue).  At first stop sign make a right onto Madison Avenue.  Pass the Morristown Hospital on the left.  Continue on Madison Avenue (124E) for approximately 5 miles toward Madison.  After going under the train trestle turn left at the 3rd traffic light onto Central Avenue.  Make the first left (1 block) onto Cook Avenue.  The Madison Community House is the red brick building at the far end of the parking lot on the left.  Our shop is located on the right hand side of the building, down the stairs.

Garden State Parkway (North or South onto 78 West): Take Exit 142/ Route 78 West. (Coming from Parkway South get onto 78 East and take first exit for 78 West turnaround.)    Take 78 West until you see signs for Route 24 West and move to local lanes on 78 West.   Bear right onto Route 24 West.  Take Exit 7b going toward Route 124 West/Chatham.  Follow signs for Route 124 West/Chatham.  Stay on 124 West for approximately 3 miles, go through Chatham and continue on Route 124 West until Madison town center.  Turn right onto Central Avenue. Make the first left onto Cook Avenue (1 block).  The Madison Community House is the red brick building at the far end of the parking lot on the left.  Our shop is located on the right hand side of the building, down the stairs.

From Madison Railroad Station (4 blocks):  Go down the steps toward the movie theater.  Walk left 1 block to Waverly Place and turn right.  Walk two blocks and turn left onto Cook Avenue.  The Madison Community House is the red brick building at the far end of the parking lot on the left.  Our shop is located on the right hand side of the building, down the stairs.

Please note: The Madison Community House is a completely separate organization.  Donations cannot be left in the Madison Community House under any circumstances. Thank you for your understanding.
